Britney Spears is seen spending time at her family home in Kentwood, LA, May 3.

May 7, 2008 (Celeb News) - Britney Spears spent quality time with her family in Kentwood, LA, on Saturday, May 03, after attending a baby shower for pregnant 17-year-old sister Jamie Lynn.

Britney flew to Kentwood in a private jet on Friday, May 02, accompanied by her father and co-conservator Jamie Spears.

The 26-year-old pop star last visited Kentwood in early 2007, when her aunt died.

Britney is expected to be in LA on Tuesday to attend the next court hearing in her child custody dispute with former husband Kevin Federline on May 6.

People think I'm moody and cynical : Salman Khan

Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who is to anchor Sony TV's new reality game show 'Dus Ka Dum', has turned a blogger and writes in his first entry that he takes all his decisions on instincts rather than calculations.

'All my decisions are based on my instincts and some people think that I am too moody and cynical,' Salman writes in his blog.

'Believe me, I have been guided by my instincts and my heart all my life! I do not depend too much on intelligence, analysis and calculations.'

Salman, who has often been in the news for wrong reasons, says that earlier he had his own reservations about anchoring a show.

'I still remember the day when my brother Sohail Khan brought the proposal to anchor a show for Sony Entertainment Television. I had my reservations. The idea sounded so impractical that I rejected it even without giving it much thought,' he wrote.

But then what attracted him to 'Dus Ka Dum'?

'There is no false shame and sense of humiliation on the show if your answer is wrong. Sample survey has determined the exact answers in form of percentage and the one who answers nearest to the exact answer is the winner. This game is simple. It is a game of guessing.'

'Dus Ka Dum' is a game inspired by the US game show 'Power of 10', in which the contestant who predicts most accurately how the public would respond to poll questions walks away with millions.

Pregnant Kidman poses nude for magazine

Pregnant Nicole Kidman has reportedly followed in the footsteps of Demi Moore, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera and posed in the buff for a magazine cover.

The news comes from website justjared, which stated that the Oscar winning Aussie star had posed nude for the cover shot at an LA studio.

The website also states that the man taking the pics was none other than Patrick Demarchelier, known for his images of Princess Diana, reports News.com.au.

Demarchelier has previously worked with Kidman for Vanity Fair.

OK! Magazine also reported that the actress had wanted to wait until her eighth month before the shots were taken.

Kidman proudly showed off her baby bump last weekend at the Country Music Awards in Las Vegas.

This will be her first biological child. She already has two adopted children with actor Tom Cruise.

I could win an Olympic gold medal for sex: Mel B

English pop singer Melanie Brown has revealed that if given a chance, she would add another sport of her preference to the Olympic games – sex.

Brown says that she would definitely win a gold medal at the Olympics for her sexual performances, adding that she and her husband Stephen Belafonte have a great sex life.

"Me and Stephen have a pretty hot sex life," The Sun quoted her as saying.

She was asked about the sport that she would definitely like to win a gold medal for at the Olympics.

"Sex," she replied right back.

Being the new face of lingerie giant Ultimo, helped her develop a positive attitude towards her personal image, therefore boosting her bedroom performances.

"You have to believe you are sexy to feel it,” she said.

“It’s nothing to do with being stick thin or perfect-looking, it has to do with being happy.

"Any woman can look and feel great in their underwear," she added.

I've finally proved my critics wrong: Katrina Kaif

Katrina who's currently basking in the success of Abbas-Mustan's Race in Dubai has plenty to be happy about. Her heroine-centric turn in Vipul Shah's Namaste London has elicited wah-wahs not just from critics but also from the masses.

"Yeah the film is a hit. And I think I've finally proved my critics wrong. Not that Namaste London is my first success. My first film Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya and then Sarkar were also successful. But it's good to be recognized in a film that revolves around you."

Next move forward…Katrina has signed on the dotted line for Subhash Ghai's new directorial venture Yuvraj where she's paired with Salman.

"It's a big move. Because banner-wise Subhashji is just the top-of-the-shelf and I love the way he presents heroines. Look at Mahima in Pardes and Meenakshi Sheshadri in Hero.

Even in a masculine films like Karma and Ram Lakhan Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit were no walk-overs. So yeah, I'm really looking forward to it."

People would presume Katrina pipped the role through Salman's recommendation "It's so stupid to think like that specially now when I have Namaste London to my credit.

Actually I met Subhash-ji long before. He had offered me a film. I think it was Kisna. Now for Yuvraj he asked Vipul Shah to show him my work in Namaste London. That's how I think he decided on me."

Trying to curb her annoyance at Salman-centric interpretations to her career progress Katrina says, "Do people think Subhash-ji is the kind of filmmaker who can be influenced by people into signing anyone? He has always gone by what is right for his film."

Katrina plays a musician in Yuvraj. "It's the role of a modern musician and I've had to learn to play a musical instrument for it. I didn't want to get into this role just anyhow. I wanted to be fully prepared.."

Harman-Priyanka better watch out!!!

Harman Baweja better watch out. Real-life chemistry doesn't always render itself to an arresting alchemy on screen. So Priyanka Chopra's endearing moral and visible support means zilch unless they sizzle as strangers starting from scratch (going up to wow) in Love Story 2050.

Harman has a lot to learn from Saif and Kareena. Why is the real-life pair so thanda in Tashan?

More importantly what got into an actor as astute as Saif to slip into a secondary status in Tashan? Did he lose the plot? Or was his role edited?

Oh stop it! I felt like bleeping out the blah every time I heard those stupid soundbytes on the channels berating Tashan for not delivering. Shouldn't there be laws against demolishing a film's reputation on the first day by people who could have a thousand reasons for not liking what they saw?

The man with the frown could have got a broken seat or he could just be sulking because his wife took excessive interest in Akshay Kumar's muscles. Or the kid who called Tashan bakwas could be miffed because his popcorn spilt over while he was ogling at Kareena coming out of the water.

So could we have less of these Tashan ticker-trashing? It’s taken a toll. Tashan, in spite of a dream cast, is showing signs of toppling over, adding to the growing feeling that this is one of the worst years for Bollywood at the box-office.

It's easy to write off a film that takes the status quo and twists it into unrecognizable shapes. So much easier and safer to stick to the tried-and-tested route and to cast stars as stars… dazzling the audiences with their aura rather than any deeper gyan of the grit that goes into making a picture more than just a run-of-the-meal ticket.

I feel some of Tashan's aura was peeled off by the release of Race a few weeks ago. The promos and posters with the stars walking with an aggressive machismo towards the camera as a rock beat pounded their heartbeat in ricocheting rhythms, were identical in both.

Even the cast was similar. No Akshay Kumar and Kareena in Race, true. And that's like saying no twin towers in New York.

Like Rakeysh Mehra's Rang De Basanti and Sanjay Bhansali's Saawariya, Tashan invents a new language of cinematic communication. It takes the formula and turns it inside-out and then lets the audience float into a state of suspended disbelief as the stars acquire capricious shapes in the skyline.

While the ifs and buts of director Vijay Krishna Acharya's whimsical wacky kick-ass flick will continue to be debated what remains incontestable is that Akshay Kumar has completely overshadowed his co-star.

And not surprisingly so. Akshay has the author-backed role into which he sinks his teeth with a relish and an understanding that leave no room for games of one-upmanship.

What surprises me even more is how an actor of Saif's caliber (have you seen the dizzying level of his performance in Omkara, Eklavya and Tara Rum Pum?) could fall for the second-lead trap at this stage of his career when he has gone passed the Race-post to prove he's one of the biggies of Bollywood.

Tashan takes Saif back to the days when he played Shashi Kapoor to Akshay Kumar's Amitabh Bachchan in films like Keemat, Arzoo and Main Khiladi Tu Anari.

Not since the time when Dilip Kumar completely overshadowed Raj Kapoor in Mehboob Khan's Andaz and Akshaye Khanna took over the show from Sanjay Kapoor in Mohabbat have we seen such a clear and unambiguous result in the game of one-upmanship.

And isn't it awfully ironical that Kareena shares far more crisp and compelling chemistry with Akshay Kumar than Saif in Tashan? This, after sharing thanda vibes with Akshay in Talaash and Bewafaa!

Just goes to show celluloid compatibility has nothing to do with your personal rapport with your co-star. There're actors like Kajol, Kareena and Tabu who can generate on-screen excitement with even a lamp-post.

Shilpa's Birthday party ruined in Dubai

It was planned as her perfect birthday bash in Dubai on Saturday night to bring in her birthday on Sunday.

Alas, Woman proposes, God (with some help from the airport authorities) disposes.

The ordeal for Shilpa began when she landed at the international airport in Dubai with her sister Shamita, parents and life companion Raj Kundra for company.

Her bag went missing at the airport.

"This, let me tell you, is the story of my life, " the ever-optimistic and cheerful Shilpa laughed from Dubai. "No journey of mine is complete without losing a bag. It could be a hopping flight from Mumbai to Pune. But if I don't lose baggage the journey is incomplete."

Unfortunately the baggage that Ahilpa lost in Dubai on Saturday contained the outfit she was supposed to wear for her big birthday bash planned in Dubai.

Late in the afternoon she had to go clothes- shopping in Dubai with her sister for the party in the night…

A party that she finally couldn't attend. "I've been on antibiotics for the past week. Ever since I got repeatedly wet in artificial rain for a song with Sunny Deol in The Man I've been suffering these bouts of fever and coughing.

I was in Delhi earlier last week. The humidity only aggravated my condition. It got worse on Saturday. A doctor had to be called."

Shilp a couldn't attend her own birthday party. But she has no regrets. "Because I spent the evening with my family. To me there can be no better way to bring in my birthday.

Married men can't be trusted: Koena Mitra - Star Interview

Koena Mitra, one of the hottest and sexiest divas in the tinsel town, has managed her few precious moments to share her feelings about her sizzling appearance, raaz behind her sleek figure, secret of her name, the kind of man she is looking for and a bit more. It simply can be tagged as delving into the heart of Koena…

Q. You are termed as one of the hottest lady in tinsel town. How do you take this compliment?
A. It always feels good when people appreciate your work. In the films you have to go along with the demands of the script and the character and get dressed according to that. Otherwise, in my real life I am always dressed casually. I’m comfortable wearing sporty clothes only.

Q. Your name sounds to be very sweet and beautiful. What exactly does Koena mean?
A. Thanks for the compliment. My mother’s name is Krishna, which is a name of a river. Koena is the tributary, which is born out of that river when it meets with another river.

Q. Secret behind your sexy figure?
A. It’s a combination of a good balanced diet accompanied with exercises. For me exercises can be walking, swimming or playing any kind of sports. Fitness is the best formula to look good and feel better.

I only miss my exercises when am back after a long schedule as at that moment I just want to relax and my destination is my bedroom.

Q. You have always been in the news regarding your link-ups and enmity with co-stars. How do you take all these?
A. I like to read and forget. Even people have a short memory for gossips. My parents also understand that these are the parts of a glamour life. Moreover, if your partner isn’t from the same industry then it becomes very hard to make him understand the truth.

I am lucky because of my single-hood and all these gossips don’t matter for me. About my enmity with my co-stars, it’s again the rumours created by the media. Till now, I have never had any problems with my co-stars.

Q. What qualities would you look in your wannabe man?
A. A smart, sincere and understanding guy, who definitely would be more mature than me. My ideal man must possess the correct culture and upbringing.

Q. Would your dream boy belong to Bollywood?
A. Definitely not. He would never be the one involved working in Bollywood or politics.

Q. But being an outsider how would he be able to cope up with the rumours that float around an artist associated with the glamour industry?
A. I would not enter into a relationship till I am sure that he understands my profession and is comfortable with it. We will think of taking the relationship ahead only after he feels secure with my status.

Q. Would you like your man to cook up some good food for you as a surprise when you are busy with your shooting schedules?
A. Yes, that would be very sweet and a pleasant surprise for me. Anyway, men are always better cooks than women. That’s why all well-known chefs are men.

Q. It looks to be a kind of fashion in Bollywood to fall in love with a married man. Would you prefer to follow the same?
A. No way, if today he can ditch somebody for me, tomorrow he may dump me, too.

Meet Avantika my real life soul mate: Imran Khan (Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na) - Star Interview

For his first film which is about a group of 20-somethings on a high in life, Imran Khan not only borrowed elements from his own life, he also borrowed his own clothes to dress up his characters.

"Doing Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na came very easily to me. My director Abbas Tyrewala would even make me wear some of my own clothes. Abbas would see me saunter in a teeshirt and say, 'Hey that would go well with my film."

If you expect a nervous 20-something waiting for the release of his film, then Imran Khan surprises you.

His candour and confidence and even his speech pattern are very Aamir Khan.

Yup, Imran is a chip off the old block, though not a very chirpy chip.

"I'm not shy but I take time to get comfortable with people. I've very few friends, and they've been with me for years. These are people who serve as a reality check. My friends keep me grounded. I was happy letting Aamir Maamu do all the speaking.

I also knew people would start making comparisons between us regardless of whether we were seen together or not. When the comparisons are inevitable what's the point worrying about it? I'd rather worry about things that are in my hands. I really appreciate Aamir's support, though."

How much does Imran depend on Aamir for advice?

" On a personal level we're extremely close. Yes he's my uncle and I'm proud of that. But we don't discuss each other's work besides Jaane Tu….We in our family have always been very good at separating the personal from the professional.

He has always been a great believer in letting every one he loves find his own path. He always tells me to make my decisions about which films to do."

For some time now Aamir has been doing all the talking for Imran. "I wanted the film to speak for me before I did. Now that people know what's in store in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na I feel more relaxed talking about the film. Though I'm still uncomfortable talking about myself."
Like Aamir, Imran wanted to be a director to begin with. "Yes, that's why I can look at my film objectively. I was 22 and immature when I wanted to be a director. Now I feel I'm not ready for direction yet.

Thank God Jaane Tu… came into my life. It happened when I went to Hindi classes with Neena Mehta when I was still in school. Many years later her daughter Pakhi was the casting director of Jaane Tu…She's now Abbas Tyrewala's wife.

Pakhi's mother remembered me and recommended me. Ya, I'd have gone on with my directorial plans if Jaane Tu.. had not happened.

I'd have probably made a dark film at that point of time. But having spent so many years in the film industry my tastes have gotten more commercial."

Like Aamir, Imran believes commercial films can be intelligent. "Where and how did we decide intelligent films can't be commercial?

I do believe at the end of the day we've to sell tickets in theatres. And for that we need to make the audiences feel good about a film. Given those parameters it's our duty to do something innovative."

Imran already has two other films on the floors. "Shibani Bhatija who wrote Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvidaa Na Kehna and his new film wrote Kidnap which I'm doing. It's an exceptional script.

My character was so interesting and attractive and a challenge for me because it's completely different from Jaane Tu….It required me to stretch myself as an actor.

It took me very far away from my comfort zone. Then there's Luck which takes me to another zone. Though I can identify with the character it's very demanding film physically.

I'll come out of Luck with a lot of bruises. It's a very outdoor film. And I am very athletic, " says the 5 foot 11 inch high hero-in-waiting.

Imran is seen very unselfconsciously in public with his girlfriend "I feel whoever you are in a relationship with, needs to feel like an important part of your life. The soul mate is very important support system. I'm glad to have her by my side."

He then adds, "People wrongly feel if a male actor is attached his career suffers. "Shah Rukh, Aamir Mamu, Hrithik all came into the industry attached. Finally it's only your work that the audience looks at."
Surprisingly Imran isn't daunted by the hype that's created by his debut film. "As the release gets closer I feel the hype building up. So far the nervousness hasn't hit me.

Closer to July 4, I suspect it will happen. I wonder if I can live up to all the expectations! Again, entirely out of my hands. I've seen Jaane Tu… dozens and dozens of times.

I've done whatever I could do. More than my happiness my director Abbas Tyrewala, Mansoor Khan and Aamir Mamu are happy. But I can see only the glaring flaws. But Aamir and Abbas are happy. So I'm going by their judgement."

Commenting on the competition on July 4 with Harman Baweja Imran sighs, "I wonder where such talk comes from! Filmmaking is not a marathon race where only one person wins.

For one film to be success it isn't necessary for the other to fail. It's all about whether the films are liked by the audience or not. And who says only one film can do well?"

Imran describes himself as fairly reserved in real life. "I put a lot of thought into what I do. I don't move forward until I'm completely happy with it. And I'm happy with the way things are going for me."

Riya Sen - Once a leading lady now just an Sexy item Girl (Bollywood Actress) - Pictures

She was last seen as a leading lady way back in 2006 when she appeared opposite Shreyas Talpade in Apna Sapna Money Money. The film was a success but Riya Sen was in mood to get into a signing spree.

Waiting patiently for the right roles to come her way, the pretty young girl who has also been seen in successful films like Shaadi No. 1, Plan, Qayamat, Jhankaar Beats and last but not the least Style, has been keeping herself busy by being a part of item songs.

Her mini appearance amongst a horde of girls was definitely noticed as she burnt the dance floor in the sizzling title song from the film Heyy Babyy (2007).

The song turned out to be a chartbuster and Riya was noticed once again in spite of presence of a dozen odd sexy sirens like Celina Jaitley, Koena Mitra and Amisha Patel alongst others.

Now she has got a platform set for herself to make a further impression with the film Hum Phirr Milein Na Milein where she has got an entire item song shot exclusively on her.

Titled 'Sajan Mera', a number where Riya is seen in yet another sizzling avtar of hers, it also features the film's lead Sarwar Ahuja who appears to be all pensive and troubled as per the demand of the situation in the song.

Along with Sarwar, who had debuted with Khanna & Iyer last year, the film also stars Tabassum's grand daughter Khushi who would be making her debut as a leading lady. The film is produced by Rajesh Gupta and directed by Manish Goel.

Incidentally Hum Phirr Milein Na Milein was recently in news since the makers had gone on record to state that Riya wasn't cooperating with them for the promotion of the film.

Apparently Riya, who has a cameo role in Hum Phirr Milein Na Milein, felt that the makers only wanted to cash in on her name and popularity to promote the film. This is why she was demanding close to Rs 3 lakh just to promote the film.

Though there hasn't been an official word on this from Riya, the makers have made it clear that they won't bow down to her demands since the film's promotion was planned with an extremely tight budget due to Hum Phirr Milein Na Milein being a small-budget film.

Priyanka Chopra to star opposite Ranbir Kapoor

Priyanka Chopra is in attack mode in relation to Kareena Kapoor- first usurping her ex-boyfriend Shahid Kapoor and now signing a hot new movie opposite Bebo’s cousin Ranbir Kapoor.

Priyanka Chopra to star opposite Ranbir Kapoor

Priyanka Chopra is in attack mode in relation to Kareena Kapoor- first usurping her ex-boyfriend Shahid Kapoor and now signing a hot new movie opposite Bebo’s cousin Ranbir Kapoor.

priyanka

Priyanka and Ranbir are doing Siddharth Anand’s next rom-com, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Says a source, “It’s a love story set in the USA and both Siddharth and Sajid were very keen to cast this fresh pair together.” Before this, Sajid was planning to make a love story between a fat girl and a good-looking cool guy but now that script has been kept on hold as no actress wanted to put on weight for the role.

Now Siddharth is working on a new script for Ranbir and Priyanka. He refuses to say much, “It’s too early to talk about it but yes, Ranbir and Priyanka have been signed on. Since the film is based abroad we are figuring out the logistics of weather, dates etc. It’s a romantic comedy with a twist.”

About the rumours that Katrina Kaif was doing the film opposite Ranbir, Siddharth says, “That was mere speculation which started as Katrina and I used to meet to discuss Bachna Ae Haseeno.”

Priyanka and Ranbir Kapoor to Star in Romantic Comedy

Looks like Priyanka Chopra's recent hospital stay isn't slowing her down one bit as she's just signed on to her latest project opposite Ranbir Kapoor! The two will be seen in Siddharth Anand's next film that will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala not Yash Raj Films as his last two films have been. It's also the first time Ranbir and Priyanka will be seen together on film, a reason that Siddharth and Sajid signed both actors as it's a fresh pairing.

Here's the real kicker though, apparently Priyanka had first refused the film when she was told she would have to gain weight for her role. The movie's story was about an overweight girl and good-looking young guy. However, Siddharth threw out that script and is now working on a new one for the actors, with the genre of the film remaining the same.

Now you might think, how shallow can Priyanka be? Well turns out she's not alone as many actresses were reportedly approached to do the role, but turned it down as no one wanted to gain weight for the role. It was even rumored that Katrina Kaif was going to do the role, but Siddharth says that was just a rumor. If you recall, Katrina worked with the director in 'Bachna Ae Haseeno,' her part was cut as the movie was getting to be too lengthy.

So looks like Bollywood actresses aren't happy about gaining weight for a role for whatever reason may be, whether it's for vanity reasons or for lack of the script. However, it can be said that many Hollywood counterparts have won Oscar gold for gaining weight for their roles, such as Charlize Theron in 'Monster.'
Whatever the reason may be, it looks like for now, Priyanka or any other Bollywood actress, won't be gaining weight for a role. Reportedly the film will be show in the US, however Siddharth isn't giving out any details other then that Priyanka and Ranbir have signed on and that the movie is a "romantic comedy with a twist."

So what do you guys think about Priyanka choosing not to gain weight for the film? And what do you think about the pairing of Ranbir and Priyanka? Drop us a comment with your thoughts!
